Hidden Treasures Pt I

Here are a couple of "Off the Map" places you have GOT to stop by the next time you are in the 702. If you are a local then you have got to add these places to your list of regulars! I'm starting out 2016 with my list of what I call the HIDDEN TREASURES of Las Vegas. No...not strip clubs...but I'm sure that will come later on too! These are the places that I absolutely love, that always have a crowd but when I talk about them nobody ever knows what I'm talking about. I will most definitely be expanding on my list of HIDDEN TREASURES through out the rest of the year and hopefully years to come!

Baby Stacks cafe is a small chain of breakfast/lunch restaurants in Las Vegas that has a ridiculously lovable Hawaiian vibe. This place makes me miss the aina like crazy, they have island music playing and their menu items include island favorites like a Loco Moco, Kalua Grilled Cheese and Adobo Fried Rice. The kicker with this place though is their pancakes. With about 18 different regular pancake options like Red Velvet, Rocky Road, and Bacon Pancakes this place is UNMATCHED! They are so light and fluffy and flavorful...I'm getting hungry just thinking about them! What keeps us coming back is their Country Fried Steak breakfast with the Cinnabun pancakes. Absolutely delicious, amazing atmosphere, and top of the line service. You can't go wrong with them. They are only open from 7am to 2pm so make sure you stop in early.

Fun for all ages. The Las Vegas Mini Gran Prix is an outdoor Go-Cart racing track on the corner of Vegas drive and Rainbow blvd that also has a fully loaded arcade, a couple of thrill rides and a giant slide. If you feel the need for speed (lol), take it off the streets and hit the track for some good, safe fun the whole family can enjoy. When the hunger strikes, they serve sandwiches, fries, pizza and more. Open daily from 11am to 9pm and they can cater to any kind of event.

Winning "The Best Of Las Vegas" Awards from the Las Vegas Review Journal almost consecutively since 2003, this place has OBVIOUSLY got something going on. Bringing down south comfort food and hospitality to Sin City, this place is a gem! The moment you step in is like being transported to the homey, welcoming vibe of the south. Serving you breakfast, lunch and dinner their menu consists of Catfish, Wings and Waffles, Salmon Croquettes, Chitterlings, Short Ribs, Liver and Onions, Gumbo...I mean...this menu is chock-full of HITTERS. Their wait staff is extremely friendly and hospitable. With celebrities like Adrien Broner frequenting here, you know they have something special. When you get that craving for some good southern food, there's no other place to go (other than back to grandma's house) than M&M Soul Food Cafe.
