Vegas on a Budget: FOOD

There are more than a couple top of the line $100+ a plate, Top Chefs with their own TV shows with restaurants in Las Vegas. But everyone does not come to Vegas to drop a grand in a week just on luxury eats that end up being about ¼ of your normal size meal at home... But you GOTTA EAT! If you are anything like me, you don’t go on vacation to spend all of your money on food...unless of course that’s all you came here for (then we got your back!). Most of us come out to experience the sights, the sounds, the people, the energy...but NOT for expensive meals and are actually shocked at the meal prices. So here’s how we can keep you fed while avoiding the high priced meals.

Luxor: Food court with McDonalds, Starbucks, Nathans, and other decent priced eats are upstairs just past the bodies exhibit. Go up the escalators in the hotel lobby near checkin and you will run right into it. Backstage Deli is downstairs on the far left of the casino floor and you can pick up some sandwiches. Public House is a good priced sit down and eat restaurant. To keep this on the cheap side, come during happy hour and sit at the bar or high tops to get discounts drinks and apps.

Excalibur: Upstairs and you may have to walk around up there for a little before you find it. Don’t go too far, you can also get to other properties from up here! They’ve got McDonalds, Pizza Hut Express, Krispy Kreme, Hot Dog on a stick and a couple more fast food options.

MGM Grand: In the section of the hotel called the DISTRICT there is a food court. I can’t really give you directions to it since you could be ANYWHERE in this massive property, but if you are by Hakkasan you went to far! Just follow signs to the district, pool, or wet republic and you will run right into it. They have a McDonalds (I’m starting to see a trend here), Nathans, Tacos N’ Ritas, a pizza place and some more options.

NYNY: Not exactly a food court, and no names you will really recognize other than Nathans (if you can find it, there’s 2 of them here) but the Village Streets are lined with Restaurants in a central area. Some of these are a bit on the costly side but you can find some cheap eats here for sure like Village Streets Eats, New York Pizzaria, or Broadway Burger Bar.

Monte Carlo: Easily accessible from any City Center location (Vdara, Aria, Mandarin Oriental, Crystals) the food court at Monte Carlo has the staples McDonalds, Rubio’s, Subway, Starbucks and a couple more.

Bellagio: No “fast food” options here, but you can find a cafe and snack bar on the property with quick inexpensive fares, during pool season, check the pool cafe also.

Paris/Bally’s: Same kind of deal as New York, not exactly a food court, but there is “le avenue” the promenaude between Bally’s and Paris where they say you feel like you are walking through France itself. Here you can find a couple of quick and inexpensive eats like le creperie and a stop and shop called Cafe Belle Madeleine. Also inside Bally’s you can find Nathans, Sbarro, and a couple cooffe shops you can pick up a roll or something like that.

Planet Hollywood: No food court exactly, but the Miracle Mile has a good number of restaurants inside to sit and eat or grab a quick bite. There’s Ketchup, CheeseBurger in Las Vegas (just like Cheeseburger in Paradise if you’ve been there in Hawaii), Chipotle, La Salsa Cantina and a stop and shop to name a few. Keep an eye out for Gordon Ramsay's menu here, it’s not as expensive as you think!

The Linq: No real “Fast Food” options like you would think of normally, but there are a number of quick places to stop and grab an inexpensive bite through the promenade and hotel and casino. The only place I really suggest that would be cheapest is Haute Doggery.

Mirage: Carnegie Deli is the only real quick cheap place to eat in here. The Buffet is NOT that expensive and all you can eat is always a great choice when you are eating on a budget.

Venetian/Palazzo: There is a food court in the Venetian, but not with your typical fast food joints. You can still get a burger, tacos, or pizza quickly and moderately priced.

Circus: West Side Deli has THE BEST Strawberry shortcake in town bar NONE! And it’s huge. I absolutely loooove it and this entire place is inexpensive. Circus Circus lives to cater to the budget conscious so anywhere you could go here is going to be on the lower cost end. Skip grabbing a sandwich at the stop and shop and just go to the deli, Tatuado has a very unique vibe but is not on the cheap side. Skip the Steak House if you are looking for budget, they are typical steak house prices but one of the best in the city!

Stratosphere: There is not exactly a food court, but if you head up the escalators through their little shopping circle before you get to the elevator to the rides or 107 lounge you can find a couple places like McDonald’s and other quick eats.

SLS: Not the cheapest but you can get a $10 burger meal from Umami or build a budget pizza at 800 degrees.

Hard Rock Hotel: Fuel Cafe is good, great portion sizes and typical cafe prices.

Fremount: Fremount food is mostly inexpensive aswell, as long as you skip the obvious expensive places like the Steak Houses, Hash House a Go Go, and anything with a dress code. The Heart Attack Grill is also very expensive, unless of course you way like 400lbs then you eat for FREE! We always enjoy walking through down town area and finding all the little restaurants. I’ll keep you guys updated when I find some that are very budget friendly for my next post.

Don’t want to actually go to a restaurant, just wanna grab some snacks? There are walgreens literally EVERYWHERE! The first one I can think of is right outside Planet Hollywood right before you get to cross the street towards the MGM, and another closer to circus circus area hidden next to luxury condos. Here you can pick up all kinds of little groceries cheaper than most in hotel stores.
